How-To Roll Fenders

Melissa’s Cheap Ass Way of Rolling Fenders…

Step one; Jack up one corner of the car at a time, but just a couple of inches.

Step two; Heat up the fenders with a heat gun for like 5-10 minutes. (Only do one wheel/fender at a time)

Step three; Use the top of a jack handle, pvc pipe, or baseball bat and slowly roll it in between the wheel and tire-STRETCHING THE METAL in the fender going back and forth using the wheel/tire as leverage

Step three; Make sure fenders stay warm and place about 5-8 magazines in between the fender and the tire…(The more magazines the larger the fender flair)

Step four; Slowly lower the jack onto the magazines.

Let sit for a few hours (I usually let it stand over night to make sure it cools off with the magazines under or else the job you just did won’t take full effect).

ZNationals! It’s Showtime!

The Date; October 6th 2012
The Location; Z1 Motorsports, Carrolton Georgia.
Why? To get a crazy amount of Z’s and G’s together!!

I know alot of you don’t like it when the footage is sped up, but deal with it. YouTube won’t let me go over 15 minutes per clip…this one is just under 10.
This is for everyone that was here that day, and those who wernt able to make it can appreciate all the participation!
So much going on this day, it was hard to capture it all!
Shout outs to Vitaliy Pakhomov for getting the most ‘likes’ on my facebook page for selecting the song for this video!

Enjoy The Pictures and Video…

Z Nationals- Meet and Greet

This was the day before the Z Nationals show. Everyone got together and had a police escort from Z1 to downtown Carrollton for the meet and greet. Everyone was awesome, no revving, no burnouts, nothing but good people that want to see this event succeed in the future.

Super Thanks to Z1 for putting this weekend together, I had a blast! Well worth the 5,000+ miles I put on my Z to get there.

After the parking lot followed many shots of tequila, dancing and karaoke.

More pictures of the show and track day to follow in the next few days. Enjoy the pics and video for now 🙂

Z Nationals; Getting There and The Set Up

It was a long drive with not much to film, so the beginning of this is the highlights of the road trip… Managed to stay away from cops, not run out of gas, and surprisingly the car lasted the whole drive without a problem.

It was nice meeting every one this weekend! Cool group of people in Memphis! Thanks for showing me some of the local stuff (including the crazy drunk ‘Elvis’ Impersonator lol.

Here’s the video and a few pictures from the trip and Z1, I have so much footage I need to Edit of the Track event and Z Nationals, so more will be up in the next day or two…

A Visit to Hotrods Restaurant and Garage

So I came to this place with my family while visiting Tucson the other night, and knew I had to come back to show off what a cool place it was.

It was a cool atmosphere with the tables over looking the garage like a fish bowl, so you can see whats going on in the shop.

A MUST TRY is the Apple Pie Moonshine… it was recommended by an employee so we had to try it… it was the best drink by itself I’ve ever had. It warmed you up on the way down, so all that was missing was maybe an ice cream chaser to go with the ‘warm apple pie’

The guys here (Matt and Gary, Restaurant and Garage Manager) were awesome letting me bring my camera in there to get this footage for you guys! THANKS!

Nissan USA’s Project 370Z Drift Testing

This weekend at ZCON I had met a lot of great people, including a few from Nissan USA who had brought out a few Nissans and incorporated test drives at the show for the new 370Z convertible. The next day there was a drift event at Firebird raceway and I had the opportunity to drift their Project 370z!

I went into the car thinking it wasn’t going to be easy because of the stability control, ABS, and rev match technology-I figured all that might be better for daily driving and road courses. Not drifting.

I was completely wrong and was blown away by how great this car actually handled that I didn’t want to have to give it back! After getting used to some of the newer technology and the reliability of the newer car, I really enjoyed testing it out. I may now have a new Z obsession.

In comparison to my 300ZX the 370Z was much easier to get sideways and stay sideways.

In comparison to my old 350Z the 370Z had a little more want to get tail happy and spin out when you don’t expect it, 350 was a weeee bit more predictable while in the drift.
